The Hanover Nighthawks will head out to  challenge the York Catholic Fighting Irish  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. York Catholic took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hanover, who comes in off a win.
Hanover took a 12-run  loss the last time they faced off against Biglerville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Nighthawks skirted past the Canners  4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Nighthawks have posted  since May 1, 2024.
  Colton Miller was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, York Catholic came up short against  Delone Catholic on Wednesday, falling  17-2. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 York Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Connor Latrechiano, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Latrechiano is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Hanover and  bumps their season record up to 7-12. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4  runs in those games. As for York Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
 Hanover suffered a grim  12-0 defeat to York Catholic  in their previous meeting  back in April. Can the Nighthawks avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
