That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lithia Springs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Lithia Springs was led to victory by Amaya Richmond and Aires Davis. Richmond scored 18 points along with three steals, while Davis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Richmond's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Brielle Holland was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Lithia Springs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Villa Rica, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Lithia Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jackson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests. Villa Rica won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd.
