Fountain-Fort Carson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Fairview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Fountain-Fort Carson is ranked 23rd, while Fairview is ranked 15th).
After soaring to 35 points the game before, Fountain-Fort Carson were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 45-7 loss at the hands of Regis Jesuit. Fountain-Fort Carson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.
Mathias Price put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Price really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run.
Meanwhile, Fairview entered their tilt with Rocky Mountain with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Fairview breezed by Rocky Mountain at home to the tune of 64-22. Considering Fairview has won nine games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jordan Rechel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Toray Davis got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Regis Jesuit's victory bumped their season record to 6-4 while Fountain-Fort Carson's loss dropped theirs to 7-3.
