The Camden County Bruins will be playing at home against the Manteo Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Camden County and four for Manteo.
Last Friday, Camden County was beaten by Holmes 47-14. Camden County was down 47-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Although Camden County took the loss, they still got scores from Zion Banks and Diego Carrion.
Meanwhile, Manteo fell victim to Hertford County's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Bears, falling 42-0. While losing is never fun, Manteo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Hertford County is ranked 101st).
Camden County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Manteo, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Camden County against Manteo when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 41-14 victory. Does Camden County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Manteo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
