Irvington has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Irvington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to the Falcons.
Meanwhile, even though Bronxville scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, Barack Obama School for Social Justice still came out on top. Barack Obama School for Social Justice secured a 59-55 W over the Broncos.
Barack Obama School for Social Justice can attribute much of their success to Seediya Jabbi, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Elvin Adrian, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Raheem Azeez, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Irvington now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Irvington didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Lightning in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. Does Irvington have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lightning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
