Wakulla Christian School will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Crossroad Academy on Tuesday. Christopher Raker and Kory Paynter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Raker tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Paynter struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Raker scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Paynter scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Wakulla Christian School is undefeated when Paynter posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Lawhon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Starling, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Wakulla Christian School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Brookwood hadn't beaten Southwest Georgia Academy on the road since March 9, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. Brookwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Southwest Georgia Academy.
Wakulla Christian School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
