After a string of seven wins, the Bishop Ward Cyclones's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Seabury Academy. Bishop Ward was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Bishop Seabury Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Hoffman led the charge by scoring 18 points. Hoffman has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Honarvar, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 13 rebounds, and 15 blocks.
Bishop Ward's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
