She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Lynn was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
In other batting news, Zoe Offie was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Makenna Emerick, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Freedom Area's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Shenango, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freedom Area will face off against South Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Side knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Freedom Area likes a good challenge.
