Hialeah Educational Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Southridge likes a good challenge.
Even though Norland scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Hialeah Educational Academy still came out on top. Hialeah Educational Academy skirted past Norland 58-56. The win was all the more spectacular given Hialeah Educational Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Norland is ranked 94th).
Hialeah Educational Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Levy led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Reece Randolph, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, even though Ferguson scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Southridge still came out on top. Southridge really took it to Ferguson for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-56 victory at home.
Mater Lakes Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Hialeah Educational Academy's loss dropped theirs to 1-2.
