They came out on top against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy by a score of 59-50. That's another feather in the cap for Stratford Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazmine Lopez, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Lopez scored a full 44% of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Chelsea Reid, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Stratford Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Stratford Academy will head out on the road to face off against Glenwood at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy and McIntosh will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
