Pocatello has gone 6-1 against Burley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Thunder will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Pocatello made easy work of Madison and carried off a 13-1 win. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Adisyn Schmidtgall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Azlinn Bullock was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Harley Baca, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Pocatello was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burley). They walked away with a 15-10 victory over Jerome on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won three contests in a row.
Pocatello's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Burley, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Everything went Pocatello's way against Burley in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Pocatello made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
