The Shore Regional Blue Devils lost against the Colts Neck Cougars back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Shore Regional took a 58-44 bruising from Colts Neck.
Shore Regional's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reese Fiore, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Fiore is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. Conley Smolokoff was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Shore Regional's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Colts Neck, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Shore Regional will head out on the road to challenge Keyport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colts Neck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middletown South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middletown South is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
