The AuSable Valley Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Plattsburgh by a score of 18-15. AuSable Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Plattsburgh apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plattsburgh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Ladue, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Ladue's longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards. Plattsburgh also got help from Dominic Deangelo who showed off his sure hands for 125 receiving yards.
AuSable Valley's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.8 points per game. As for Plattsburgh, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7.
AuSable Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plattsburgh will head out on the road to face off against Beekmantown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beekmantown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
