Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Huntingdon Mustangs walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 62-0 victory over Waverly Central at home. Winning may never get old, but Huntingdon sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Huntingdon's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Hutcherson, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Gray Eubanks, who rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns.
Huntingdon's win was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points per game. As for Waverly Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Huntingdon will be playing in front of their home fans against Milan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milan is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Waverly Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
