They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sipsey Valley 56-29 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Hale County sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Hale County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yasmine Jackson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lailah Hill, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Hale County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Sipsey Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hale County will take on Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Sipsey Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paul W. Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paul W. Bryant is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
