The Rocklin Thunder will venture away from home to take on the St. Francis Troubadours at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
St. Francis will be up against a hot Rocklin team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Thunder walked away with a 3-0 win over Pleasant Grove on Monday.

Not much got past Payton Prior, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Pleasant Grove off the board. Prior has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sammie Snell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, St. Francis didn't have quite enough to beat Granite Bay on Monday and fell 7-5.
Kinsley Imm put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Imm was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Marissa Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Alexis McFarland was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
St. Francis' defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Rocklin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
St. Francis' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Rocklin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for St. Francis, though, as they've been averaging only 2 strikeouts. Will Rocklin keep running through batters, or will the Troubadours buck the trend?
Rocklin might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from St. Francis when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
