The Cardinal O'Hara Hawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Williamsville North Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cardinal O'Hara and four for Williamsville North dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Cardinal O'Hara was beaten by Orchard Park 79-50.
Despite their loss, Cardinal O'Hara saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Simmarion Threet, who scored 15 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Johnson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Williamsville North came up short against St. Francis last Tuesday and fell 60-50.
Cardinal O'Hara now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Williamsville North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Cardinal O'Hara might still be hurting after the 67-46 loss they got from Williamsville North in their previous matchup back in December of 2014. Can Cardinal O'Hara avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
