Mid-Penn - Capital recap October 22, 2013
Milton Hershey extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Penn - Capital this week by beating Susquenita, 32-15. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Spartans.
Camp Hill scaled the state rankings by moving to 373 from 440 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions climbed the ranks as a result of besting Trinity 49-20.
Garrett Stuter was a passing and rushing force as East Pennsboro beat Middletown. Stuter's key target this week was Nick Guida, who caught 5 passes for 60 yards.
Patrick Kline was the best receiver in the league this week as the Shamrocks lost to Camp Hill. Kline racked up 10 receptions for 196 yards. Brandon Kuntz helped Trinity's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 50 yards.
Trinity's Mike Boguski and Kuntz have formed a dream team this season, leading Mid-Penn - Capital in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Boguski has thrown for 1,278 yards this season, while Kuntz has 50 catches for 928 yards. Stuter from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 918 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Steelton-Highspire takes on second place Milton Hershey.
Bill Ragni's team's Kuntz is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 72 receiving yards against the Blackhawks to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has garnered 50 catches for 928 yards.
Stuter of the East Pennsboro is just 82 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Stuter has rushed for 918 yards on 165 carries so far this year.
The Shamrocks fell to the Lions 49-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kline was a bright spot for Trinity, as he caught 10 passes for 196 yards in the loss.
