The Hamilton Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Richland Springs by a score of 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pierce Summers and Colter Johnson certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Summers scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Johnson scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Eanes, who scored nine points.
Hamilton has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Richland Springs, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Hamilton will be playing at home against Clifton at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Richland Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Bangs at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. The timing isn't great for Bangs: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Richland Springs has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
