Living Grace Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Covenant Life Cougars at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Living Grace Christian is ranked 192nd, while the Cougars are ranked 171st).
Last Tuesday, Living Grace Christian didn't have too much trouble with the Scots at home as they won 61-44. Living Grace Christian pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Scots cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Covenant Life's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Mount Airy Christian Academy at home and fell 60-26. Covenant Life has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Living Grace Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Covenant Life, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10.
Things could have been worse for Living Grace Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-44 loss to the Cougars in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Living Grace Christian, Austin Leach (who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
