The Miami East Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Riverside on the road to the tune of 53-21. Miami East's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Miami East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mckayah Musselman out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Musselman set a new season high mark in steals with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryn Gross, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
Miami East pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Riverside, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Miami East will be home for the holidays to greet Versailles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Versailles will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Miami East is ranked 15th). As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairlawn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairlawn has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
