Mater Academy Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Davis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. Davis is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Sebastian Tello was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
While Coral Park couldn't quite beat the Generals on Thursday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 22-point defeat they were dealt on Monday. Coral Park fell just short of the Generals by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Coral Park has suffered since December 4, 2023.
Mater Academy Charter is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Coral Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
