Basketball Recap: Newman AAA Extends Winning Streak to Three

Newman AAA extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Chase Geremia. The Newman AAA Cardinals walked away with an 85-76 victory over Non Varsity Opponent on Friday thanks in part to Geremia, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Collins Onyejiaka, who posted two points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played.

Newman AAA has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Newman AAA has already played their next game (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Non Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Broome Street Academy at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday.
