Cedar Creek waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles 16-5. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 12 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cedar Creek's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Cedar Creek will face off against Captain Shreve at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 victory against Beekman Charter on the 29th.
