There's no place like home for Southlands Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Calvary Baptist Cougars get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Daizia White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Lauren Lopez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Taya Marvel was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base.
Southlands Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
