Franklin Central is 1-6 against Fishers since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Flashes will head out to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Franklin Central will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up ten points last Friday, then bounced right back against Noblesville on Friday. The Flashes really took it to the Millers for the full four quarters, racking up a 37-10 win. Given the Flashes' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Millers are ranked 72nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Sparks, who rushed for 185 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Sparks a new career-high. Hudson Moritz also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Franklin Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 92 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 174.3.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Franklin Central, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Moritz, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fishers, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Avon 29-15 on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Orioles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Franklin Central better focus on containing Ryan Thembulembu and Gage Sturgill as the pair were huge in Fishers' win. Thembulembu gained 183 total yards and a touchdown, while Sturgill threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Thembulembu is now averaging an impressive 102.2 rushing yards per game. Fishers' leading receiver Vincent Rozzi was Sturgill's top target yet again, picking up 71 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Fishers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Atticus Finley, Kayden Myers, and Jaxson Andrews picked up one apiece. Andrews has been hot, having also posted at least one defended passe the last five times he's played. Fishers got some further help from Emmanuel Cowherd: he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Franklin Central's record now sits at 4-2. As for Fishers, their record is now an identical 4-2.
Franklin Central beat Fishers 22-13 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flashes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
