Austin Jorge and Nate Macintosh were among the main playmakers for Pierce as the former threw for 99 yards and three TDs on only nine passes and the latter gained 113 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Jorge racked up 143.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
Pierce didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jorge picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. Quin Stephens was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making five total tackles.
Meanwhile, Paradise beat Colusa 35-24 on Friday. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.
Pierce better keep an eye on Evan Higgs. He was instrumental in Paradise's win, rushing for 244 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Higgs is now averaging an impressive 116.3 rushing yards per game.
Paradise was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
Pierce's record is now 7-0. As for Paradise, their record now sits at 3-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Pierce has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 170.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Paradise struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 165.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Pierce's way against Paradise in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Pierce made off with a 30-7 win. In that matchup, the Bears amassed a halftime lead of 24-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
