Rancho Cucamonga extended their  winning streak to three games  thanks to a huge performance from  Lizzy Brown. The Cougars came within six  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   33-27 W against the Santiago Sharks thanks in part to  Brown, who rushed for 157 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 204 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 76.5% of her passes. Her passing game has become a key predictor of Rancho Cucamonga's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 3-6 otherwise.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rancho Cucamonga's defense and their six sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Gianna Carrillo. She has been hot, having  posted  at least one  sack the last seven times she's  played.
Rancho Cucamonga now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Santiago, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
