Western Sierra Collegiate Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Colfax Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, everything came up roses for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at home against Westlake Charter as the team secured a 66-27 victory. Given Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Westlake Charter is ranked 926th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Sierra Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Harb, who scored 17 points. Harb continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Frantti , who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Colfax humbled Golden Sierra with a 67-34 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colfax.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.5 points. As for Colfax, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Colfax when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 49-42. Will Western Sierra Collegiate Academy repeat their success, or does Colfax have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
