In what's become a running theme this season, the Norman Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 77-22 win over Lawton. Given Norman's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Lawton is ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keeley Parks continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Norman's points. Another player making a difference was Ady Hybl, who scored 19 points along with five assists and four steals.
Norman pushed their record up to 13-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Lawton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Norman will head out on the road to take on Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Norman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. As for Lawton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yukon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
