Charlie Horne and Ryan Antonucci certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Horne went 8 for 15 on his way to 24 points, while Antonucci went 5 of 7 en route to 15 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Horne is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Brugnoli, who posted 13 points.
Chariho found their leader in sophomore Dayton Lee, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Sean Westnedge was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and four steals.
With the defeat, Prout broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5. As for Chariho, their record is now 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prout will challenge Block Island at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Prout is facing Block Island at the right time seeing as Block Island is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chariho, they will take on Narragansett at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Chariho is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
