If the Brewbaker Tech Rams were riding high off their 70-44 takedown of the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Brewbaker Tech was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 69-68 to Demopolis. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brewbaker Tech in their matchups with Demopolis: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Brewbaker Tech still got an impressive performance from Johnathan Williams, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kevin Honer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Brewbaker Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Demopolis, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Selma the next time they take the court. Brewbaker Tech will head out to face Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Demopolis will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
