After two games on the road, New Lothrop is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Birch Run Panthers at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for New Lothrop, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-34 loss to Durand. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Lothrop in their matchups with Durand: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Birch Run's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-42 bruising from Hemlock.
New Lothrop bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Birch Run, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
New Lothrop took their victory against Birch Run in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 60-40. Does New Lothrop have another victory up their sleeve, or will Birch Run turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
