The Caldwell Redskins had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Shenandoah 37-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Caldwell, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Caldwell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Petry, who picked up 47 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Cale Bender was another key contributor, throwing for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Shenandoah, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
Caldwell will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Shenandoah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
