After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnson-Brock, the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sidney and snuck past 45-42. For Lourdes Central Catholic, this counts as revenge for the 60-51 loss Sidney walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Lourdes Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevor Tesarek led the charge by scoring 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Miles Poppleton, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Lourdes Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Sidney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
