Long Branch extended the longest winning streak in Shore - North B this week by beating Ocean Township, 35-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Green Waves.
Neptune took down Freehold Boro 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Freehold Boro's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Colonials feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brad Jones has thrown for 426 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Rayshon Webber has 14 catches for 171 yards. Josh Dixon leads the league in rushing with 257 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Long Branch takes on second place Matawan Regional. Last week, Long Branch topped the Spartans, while Matawan Regional defeated Red Bank Regional.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Dan George's team takes on the Huskies. The Green Waves have allowed 81 points this season, while Matawan Regional has given up 93. Long Branch allowed 21 points last week as it beat Ocean Township.
The Green Waves made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,862 from 3,140. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-21 victory over Don Klein's team last week.
