It was a good run, but Pathway Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 60-42 fall against Parkview Christian Academy.
Pathway Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Preston Yutzy and Denver Nelson. Yutzy scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, while Nelson scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkview Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Mulder, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was James Jefferson, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds.
Pathway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Parkview Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Pathway Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Mountain Top Christian at 12:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Mountain Top Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pathway Christian in their respective states (Mountain Top Christian is ranked 226th in Wisconsin, while Pathway Christian is ranked 705th in Iowa). Parkview Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dickson County at 9:00 a.m. on December 30, 2023. Dickson County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 475 points over their last seven contests.
