Jonesport-Beals hasn't had much luck against Narraguagus recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Royals are taking a road trip to square off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jonesport-Beals will bounce into Monday's game after beating Woodland, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Royals blew past the Dragons 12-4 on Monday.

Aspen Alley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 13 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Macie Faulkingham and Makayla Merchant did most of the damage at the plate: Faulkingham went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, while Merchant went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lillie Fitzsimmons was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Narraguagus put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Calais. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Jonesport-Beals, Narraguagus also got a great game from a two-way player: Natalie Stanwood. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Stanwood was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Paidyn Cashman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Erica Rackliff also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Narraguagus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Narraguagus' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Jonesport-Beals, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jonesport-Beals has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Narraguagus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
