The Oak Grove Grizzlies had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.9 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They breezed by Ashbrook at home to the tune of 34-0. Considering Oak Grove has won nine matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Oak Grove was led to victory by Connor Creech and Karson Williams. Creech rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, while Williams gained 129 total yards and three touchdowns. Landon Craddock got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Oak Grove's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points per game. As for Ashbrook, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Oak Grove will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pisgah at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Pisgah's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches. Ashbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
