Loris's Levi Moody recorded the longest rushing play in AA Region VIII this season in his game against South Columbus last week. Moody's team topped the Stallions as he sprinted for 98 yards on the play and finished with 233 in all.
Loris scaled the state rankings by moving to 55 from 93 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Jamie Snider's team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating South Columbus 32-6.
The Lions' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bennett Winslow threw for 90 yards and Ryan Bellamy had 41 yards receiving. Tyree Floyd helped Loris' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 33 yards.
