The Chagrin Falls Tigers will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Crestwood Red Devils at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Chagrin Falls is ranked 356th, while Crestwood is ranked 372nd).
Chagrin Falls waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Lake Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 53-35.
Chagrin Falls got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Stukus out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Bencko, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Crestwood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springfield.
Chagrin Falls now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
Chagrin Falls beat Crestwood 50-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chagrin Falls since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
