The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Desert in their matchups with California City: they've now lost seven in a row.
Desert's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for California City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Mojave the next time they take the pitch. Desert will host Mojave at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while California City will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
