Destiny Christian had won two straight  games  and  A'Maurie Rusler did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cordell Blue Devils 46-8 for which the team can thank  Rusler, who rushed for 325 yards and three  touchdowns on only 12 carries. Rusler is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 157 every time he's  taken the field this season.
The team also got some help courtesy of  David Perry, who gained 118 total yards. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.
 Destiny Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Brett Thresher. Destiny Christian got some further help from  Levi McCutchan: he picked up  a  sack, forced one fumble,  and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Destiny Christian's record now sits at 8-2. As for Cordell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
 Looking ahead, Destiny Christian will square off against Arkansas Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cordell, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  2-0  defeat against Carnegie on the 24th.
