After losing to The Pelahatchie Chiefs the last time they met, the Puckett Wolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Puckett breezed by Pelahatchie on the road to the tune of 42-13. The result was nothing new for Puckett, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Puckett's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samuelle Gray, who rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Gray was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. JaVarius Fletcher and his 148 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Puckett's win.
The win makes it two in a row for Puckett and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Pelahatchie, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Puckett will be playing at home against Pisgah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pisgah is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Pelahatchie, they will head out on the road to face off against Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raleigh will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
