Jaidon Sopjack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Jared White was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for Gulf: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Gio Padilla also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
