2A District 7 recap October 22, 2013
Glades Day added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 7 this week by beating Boca Raton Christian, 41-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Jupiter Christian took down Archbishop Carroll 50-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Justin Karlson threw for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
Jupiter Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bryan McGlynn has thrown for 383 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Jordan Player has 28 catches for 411 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Village Academy takes on the Eagles. As it stands, Village Academy is in fourth, while Jupiter Christian is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Donald Hanna's team and Bill Powers' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Village Academy comes in having scored 10 this season, while the Eagles have scored 151. Village Academy scored 12 points last week as it lost to Keys Gate.
Jupiter Christian made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,443 from 8,731. The advance stemmed from a 50-6 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
