 On Sterling Heights Stevenson's side,  Mikayla Ciesluk made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and six unearned) runs off   six  hits. Ciesluk was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Grace Toon was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Hope Kilpatrick was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Lakeview now  has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Lakeview will stay at home for another  game and welcome Hill-McCloy at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Lake Shore at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
