The Baldwin Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Griffin with a sharp 66-46 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for Baldwin as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Baldwin to victory were Madison Ruff and Janaye Walker. Ruff scored 21 points along with three steals, while Walker dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ruff has scored at least 25% of Baldwin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassidy Neal, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Baldwin's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.15 points. As for Griffin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will challenge Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Griffin, they will head out on the road to face off against Howard at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
