Addyson Waterhouse made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrea Tall, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Alyvia Costa was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Newark Memorial pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
Washington might still be hurting after the 19-4 loss they got from Newark Memorial when the teams last played back in April. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
