The Valley Christian Eagles and the Victor Pirates will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Valley Christian and six for the Pirates.
Last Saturday, Valley Christian was beaten by the Trojans 48-8. Valley Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-3.
Meanwhile, Victor had to suffer through a rough 69-22 loss at the hands of the Lynx. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victor in their matchups with the Lynx: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nicole Bugli, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Victor, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
Valley Christian took their victory against the Pirates in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 36-16. Does Valley Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
